Right after windows 8. Just after samsung logo shows up, there is a Windows 8. Nothing works on that. I've tried opening the notebook and removing the hard drive as told by a forum user. This way I could manage to access Samsung Recovery, did a complete recover but just right after the bootloop comes back again. I cannot boot from dvd or usb, looks like Samsung has completely locked up the boot proccess. I'm not very familiar to UEFI but looks like this is the answer.
I just can't manage to boot from media or access the BIOS settings, so I could maybe format my hard drive and make a clean install Does anybody has any clue on this? Thanks in advance. Have you phoned Samsung support? By now they should have a standard script to read from for what to do about this problem.
When I had a recent encounter with them there was advice to hold down a key I think it was shift but might have been one of the others in the bottom left corner when pressing the power button to make it easier to get into the BIOS. I don't remember all the details because the advice was mixed in with some other wrong info such as holding down the battery disconnect switch would drain residual power for resetting the BIOS.
John RatseyNov 11, The CMOS reset procedure is: i Turn computer off and disconnect the PSU ii Disconnect the battery by poking a thin object such as an unbent paper clip through the battery disconnect hole in the base you should hear a small click. If that makes no difference then repeat i and ii then remove the base and disconnect the coin-shaped backup battery before doing step iii.
And if that doesn't work then it's the disconnect the HDD procedure to try to kill the boot loop. Dannemand likes this. I realize this is an old thread, but I ran into this same issue and was able to solve it.The only thing that helps is hard reboot. However, the GUI is not frozen, I can click on things, though none of them would react most of the time, can't even close the windows I suspect that the programs can't write to the Windows registry, which is stored on disk, or to some configuration files, so they just block indefinitely on corresponding Windows API calls, hence the freeze.
Go to Solution. View solution in original post. No, not solved. I ran through your solution steps and the last CMD command won't even complete. I get a "file not found" error part way through. I started a separate posting with all the informatinon, but apparently you people deleted it. I've been dealing with random freezes on a daily basis for seven months.
I have read some threads that uninstall the Enhanced mode in control panel in programs and installation would solve the problem. I did not find anything installed there so I assumed that the rapid mode would do the same thing.
So I disabled it. Problem solved!!! Zero Crash. I have cross checked it and re activate and got a crash within 15mins. I read that rapid mode uses more Ram where it saves data, programs or part of programs where it executes it when it needs. Bear in mind that when u share ur ram with gpu the system already is drained in Ram by sharing I have read somewhere that for some clock reasons it also consumes twice as much and uses half!
Not an informatics engineer so I cannot explain or understand why. Therefore if there is drainage from both factors you can run very fast out of RAM and get sudden random crashes any random moment that u need more ram from the pc and it is drained. I have been working on the PC some hours and I am currently writing this report with no problems so far. I will amend if necessary. I have never enabled rapid mode. I followed the instructions in this thread, but the last CMD line does not run.
I get a "file not found" error when I run it. That thread has been deleted. I do not know why. Someone else with the same problem was participating in that discussion, but no one from Samsung ever replied. Hello, I am using an EVO and followed all of your steps. However, the last commands failed:.It's a factory Windows 8 Home Edition.
Windows 8 Home Edition doesn't allow you to connect to a domain. I have left over WIndows 7 keys so I thought I'd change it to 7 to get it onto our domain. Problem now is that this laptop doesn't let me boot to bios. Called Samsung tech support and I dunno if they hung up on me or not but we got disconnected. Feels like I tried everything to get this thing to boot up from bios but no luck. There's gotta be some sort of security lock that's not letting me do this.

I tried uninstalling it and then reinstall it. It comes back with the yellow sign problem. I tried updating the driver when windows says that I have the latest update available.
Please let me know. It looks like windows update just damaged and disabled my touchpad for good. This is a fairly new computer. I don't know what to do. Please help. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.Vacuum laminating
Did this solve your problem? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thank yo for your reply. It did not do anything. What I know is that suddenly out of the blue my touchpad just stopped working. It is a driver issue and I cannot get around it.Discussion in ' Samsung ' started by John RatseyNov 27, Log in or Sign up. A few people have reported problems with the latest BIOS updates causing their computers to hang. Herehere and here for example. This program provides the option to run the update or download it.
I opted for the latter. I then ran the update right-click As Administrator within Windows. The update then opens a DOS window showing a simple progress graphic. After this there is a prompt to restart the computer. How have those people who have had BIOS update problems done the updates?
Is is using SW Updater? John PS: And for those whose computers with internal batteries which won't start after a failed BIOS update, there is a battery reset hole. Last edited: Dec 12, John RatseyNov 27, I used samsung's sw updater. I've repeatedly had problems with it - telling me that an update was available - but then the update failed, it's often taken several tries to get the update to succeed - it's really too bad, because it's a beautiful machine.
I had to stick a pin in the reset hole each time to recover. After the BIOS update my U wouldn't boot anymore, although it was showing up as the only boot device in the list. Still not sure what it does Thanks for the information!
Samsung needs a swift kick! You can decide where It's unconscionable that the tech that I spoke to - had only two options - power button or ups! Have never tried updating through the SW Update. The update bios update went fine. I installed windows 8 and all the other drivers through SW Update the same day.You know the drill: You get a new motherboard.
You upgrade. And then the fun begins! Sometimes, one device or another in your system is not detected properly.FIX STUCK ON BIOS
In some cases, these problems can indicate a defective motherboard or other component. If you find yourself with a similar very new motherboard, the absolute first thing you should do is update the BIOS. Especially with newer chipsets and motherboard, there will be many bugfixes released in the form of a BIOS update.
The method of updating your BIOS varies by manufacturer, and you can find instructions in your motherboard manual. But usually, you just have to:. On this particular motherboard, Fast Boot does very little to speed up the boot time if you configure everything else correctly. DirectKey is useless since there is no button to use on the case for this particular puter.
Option ROM Messages is kind of pointless — and slows down your boot time — unless you have an add-in card that needs to run its own sort of BIOS initialization mojo. Here we get to the really important part!Ktm ko bhalu lai hotel ma chikeko video
Now, you might think that you can set Launch CSM to Enabledand then futz with each of the four settings underneath it. On this board, these were the default settings — although I have no idea why. Well, on this particular mobo, I had great difficulty getting Windows to boot. Furthermore, when I did finally manage to get Windows to boot, I was greeted with this Windows load screen:.Nc 4p exo
I concluded from this problem that Windows 10 was having great difficulty with some BIOS setting, and it was pretty easy to conclude that it was the CSM settings. That fixed darn near all my problems with this particular Zbased machine! Doing so will give you something like this:. This is all about the whole Microsoft Secure Boot initiative. Boom, done.
Touchpad not working on a Samsung laptop
Now save your settings and reboot, and you should be all set. I only worked with a ZA so far….I have been reading this forum since I bought my Samsnung NP-N inbut this is my first post. I rearly use my N anymore cause it runs really slow with Windows7.
But recently I updated it to win8 and it worked pretty good…for 20 minutes.
After this the computer was dead, only the led lights were on. I knew I had messed up the update. B I believe makers also have the option to choose which keys start the Crisis recovery Process on their own machines.
I have also tried these methods: removing bios battery, resetting the RTC pins… and read almost all posts on this forum. There is a file on the disk called BIOS. ROM, files will vary. Changing the extension is necessary.
Remove the battery from the laptop, and unplug the AC power cord. While still holding them, plug the AC power in, then press the power button. The system should power on, but there should be no LEDs lit up, and the fan should not slow down like it normally does. If that is not what happens, and you get LEDs that light up, and the fan slows like normal, unplug the AC power and try using the Win and B keys instead.
Samsung Bios Recovery Procedures – Crisis recovery with Phoenix BIOS Recovery
After a minute or two, the floppy light will stop flashing. DO NOT shut the computer off, as the process is only half complete. The system is now flashing the BIOS. After the floppy light goes off, leave the computer on for two or three minutes; more if you want to be sure, and if the system does not reboot itself mine did notunplug the AC power.
I let mine go for five minutes or so and pulled the plug the power button would not shut the system off no matter how long I held it; I suspect this is normal. Five minutes should be plenty; however long you wait, try to be patient. My five minutes of waiting seemed to take forever, but paid off. Plug the AC power back into the laptop and fire it up. Thank you all for your help. There is no key combination at all.!! If you switch this switch system resets ; Find the other switch below this one.
